St John Rosary Makers has new meeting times.  They will meet every first Tuesday of the month from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and every second Wednesday of the month from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Parish Center 2nd floor.    If you have any questions, please call MaryAnn Saviello at (360-5180).

  St. John’s Rosary Makers are seeking donations of

wire rosary beads. They need not be new; if broken,
we will fix them. The are going to the inmates at the Orange County Jail. We also enclose a small booklet
entitled, “How to Pray the Rosary in English and Spanish.” Please consider giving your older rosaries a new life in evangelization. They may be left in the
green plastic container on the shelf in the vestibule. If

At St. John Catholic Elementary School we believe that Pre-Kindergarten is the time to turn your curious child into an active, interested student who looks forward to going to school. In 1979, Terence Cardinal Cooke started the Cardinal's Archdiocesan Appeal to facilitate the pastoral, educational and charitable works of the Archdiocese of New York. In the 40 years since, the Appeal has raised many millions of dollars - every penny of which has benefited parishes and the 2.7 million Catholics of the Archdiocese of New York. 

In his first address as pope, Saint John Paul II called on all of us to " open wide the doors to Christ"- a call for personal holiness and conversion of heart but also a call to invite others into the universal Church. We pray we may continue opening our doors to those who need to hear the message of our Lord. 

The doors that matter most are at the entrances to our nearly 300 parishes. That's why, on its 40th anniversary, we are focusing the Cardinal's Annual Stewardship Appeal entirely on keeping our parishes healthy and vibrant.- .ny-archdiocese.org

St. John’s Religious Education Program is seeking volunteer catechists to help spread the good news and to share the Catholic faith with all of our parish children. If you love God and want to share that love, love working with children, and want to share your faith, we want you!
The word catechist comes from a Greek word meaning
“to echo.”
Catechists echo the Word of God to the children of our parish. They come from all walks of life and all ages: women, men, confirmed teenagers, parents, grandparents, singles and religious. Catechists are not expert teachers or brilliant theologians. They are ordinary people, just like you, who generously volunteer their time to share our Catholic faith, values and traditions with our youngest generation of Christians. They are positive role models who help children grow in faith, spirituality and their relationship with God. Their gift of time and talents has tremendous value because through their words, actions and expression of love for their students, the message of Jesus Christ continues to spread throughout the world. “The rewards are heaven






There will be Eucharistic Adoration on Friday, July 1 following the 6:30am Mass until benediction at 5:00pm. As always, its essential that we have one or two parishioners committed to be present during each hour. Please call or stop by the parish office to sign up

Parish Counseling Network (PCN) Catholic Charities offers low cost, short term counseling services to help individuals and families. Anxiety, depression, conflicts over marital issues, raising children, caring for adults, can make it hard to cope. As the months wear on, the effects of the pandemic continue to affect our society. Self-care remains a vital step in overall good health. PCN offers access to licensed mental health professionals throughout the Hudson Valley and can help parishioners with a variety of concerns, included the stress of COVID-19. Parishioners are eligible for up to six sessions; the fee for each session is a $10 co-pay. A referral from a priest or deacon is needed. Please call the parish office for more information.




Catholic homeschooling parents in Orange County are invited to connect with other Catholic families through Saint Monica's Homeschoolers. St. Monica's promotes and encourages Catholic family life by providing a support group for families who opt to educate their children at home. Together, we seek to learn and teach the faith, traditions, and history of the Church. We meet weekly on Friday afternoons at different locations in Orange County. St. Mary’s Church in Port Jervis is offering a bereavement course. However long it’s been since you’ve lost someone you love, this program is to assist you with confronting grief. Grief Share will last 13 sessions; the course will be meet at 3:00pm on Sundays. We will have coffee and an afternoon snack. Emergency Rental Assistance Program Catholic Charities recently paired with an attorney from Legal Services of the Hudson Valley to hold an information session about ERAP live through Facebook. The live event allowed for an in-depth discussion about the current Emergency Rental Assistance Program as well as the legal rights of tenants.
ERAP is a New York State program to assist house holds behind on their rent or that have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 and are at risk of homelessness or housing instabilities.
